Quin Snyder To Be Head Coach of the Utah Jazz?

Quin Snyder has emerged as one of the candidates for the Utah Jazz head coaching vacancy.

Snyder worked with Dennis Lindsey and also spent a season with CSKA studying with Ettore Messina.

Snyder went to Duke and was most notably head coach at Missouri. Snyder is currently assistant coach for the Atlanta Hawks.

Goran Dragic Wins Most Improved Player

Goran Dragic has officially won the NBA's Most Improved Player of the Year award. Klay Thompson finished second in the voting. As for Anthony Davis he finished third. Gerald Green, DeAndre Jordan, Kyle Lowry, Blake Griffin, DeMar DeRozan and Patty Mills rounded out the top-9.

Felton Has Lost 15 Pounds Since End Of Season

Raymond Felton has lost 15 pounds since the end of the New York Knicks' season. Felton played at approximately 212 pounds last season and is encouraged by his new physique. "I was quick before, but if you take off 15 pounds, you can be that much quicker," Felton said Sunday. Via Ian Begley/ESPNFelton was out of weight and not physically prepared for the season to start after the lockout in 2011 when he joined the Portland Trail Blazers. Felton last season averaged 13.9 points and 2.9 rebounds per game last season.

Lou Amundson meets with the Los Angeles Lakers and Clippers

Lou Amundson met with the Los Angeles Lakers and Clippers past Friday. Amundson has played for eight teams over a seven-year NBA career. He has played for the Utah Jazz, Philadelphia 76rs, Phoenix Suns, Golden State Warriors, Indiana Pacers, Minnesota Timberlwoves and this season he played for the Chicago Bulls and the New Orleans Pelicans.  Amundson went undrafted in the 2006 NBA draft. Amundson is 6'9 and can add a some depth in the Center or Power Forward position for the Lakers. He can be another Jordan Hill and come off the bench and average fair amount of points and grab rebounds. Amundson is not much of a scorer.

Garnett 'Probably' Won't Play Back-To-Backs Next Season

Kevin Garnett next season will most likely not play back to back games this upcoming season. The reason why is because the Nets and Jason Kidd want Garnett to be healthy and have him ready for the playoffs. Here is a quote explaining the situation. We've talked about it that there's going to be (minutes restrictions). When you look at KG, probably no back-to-backs for him," Jason Kidd said. "Those are just topics we're talking about, throwing around to keep these guy's minutes down because we are deep. ...You want to be fresh going into the playoffs." Via Stefan Bondy/New York Daily News

James Posey Candidate For Celtics' Assistant Coach Position

James Posey is among the candidates the Boston Celtics are looking at to fill out the coaching staff, according to a source. Brad Stevens is likely to hire an ex-player to finish his staff.

Posey won a championship with the Celtics in 2008 and had a 12-year NBA career.

Knicks Meeting With Hamed Haddadi

Hamed Haddadi is in New York on Friday to discuss a contract with the New York Knicks. Hadaddi finished last season with the Phoenix Suns and appeared in a total of 30 games. Hadaddi has won 3 FIBA MVP's included one this year. Hadaddi was recently MVP of FIBA Asia, averaging 18.8 points and 10.0 rebounds per game. When he played with the Suns last season he averaged 4.1 points and 5.1 rebounds

Celtics Trade Fab Melo To Grizzlies For Donte Greene

The Boston Celtics have traded Fab Melo to the Grizzlies for Donte Greene. Melo only averaged 1.2 points and 0.5 rebounds per game for the Celtics last season. He played college basketball for the university of Syracuse. Greene last played for the Sacramento Kings and averaged 5.4 points and 2.5 rebounds last season

Justin Zanik To Become Assistant GM Of Jazz

The Utah Jazz are on the verge of hiring Justin Zanik as assistant general manager. Zanik is a player agent that has worked with Andy Miller over the past few years. Zanik represents Omer Asik, Serge Ibaka, Ersan Ilyasova and Jason Maxiell, amongst others.

Delonte West Status

Delonte West has been participating in workouts in Las Vegas in hopes of landing a free agent deal. West did not play last season after playing 44 games with the Dallas Mavericks in 2011-12. West has played for 5 teams in his NBA career. On January 25, 2013, the Texas Legends of the D-League for the NBA announced that they had acquired West.
